AFL Display applies the hottest design innovations to existing store architecture to create attractive and functional custom wood shelving units
AFL’s custom millwork department is renowned for its ability to create wood shelving units that are cost effective and built to last. For Pita Break, AFL created a custom shelving unit that enabled the stacking of more product on the shelves while occupying the smallest footprint in grocery stores across Canada. Because cost-effectiveness was a critical design element for Pita Break, AFL created an low-budget yet highly durable and attractive design out of melamine and powder-coated tubular metal frames.
Although metal fixtures are popular for their high-tech look and low cost, wood is still the material of choice for many who prefer its warmer appeal. Sales of store fixtures reached nearly $8.7 billion in 2000, with about half coming from sales of wood fixtures
